Subcontractor Terms
In addition to the Terms of Entry & Privacy Notice
By signing in as a subcontractor you confirm, on your own behalf and on behalf of your employer, that:
1. Coverage and insurance
- Your employer holds valid workers' compensation coverage (WCB) in this province, and the account or clearance number you provide at sign-in is accurate and in good standing;
- Your employer carries commercial general liability insurance appropriate to the work being performed and will provide proof on request.
2. Safety and competency
- You are trained, competent, and where required certified for the work you are here to perform, and will provide proof of certification on request;
- You will supply and wear the PPE required for your work and this site, and comply with all occupational health and safety legislation that applies in this province;
- You will complete any site orientation required by the site before starting work, and follow all site-specific procedures (including permits for hot work, lockout/tagout, working at heights, and confined spaces where applicable);
- You will report every incident, injury, near miss, or hazard to the site office immediately.
3. Conduct of the work
- You will keep your work area safe and clean, and use only equipment you are authorized and competent to operate;
- Site equipment may not be used without the site's express permission;
- You remain the employee or agent of your employer at all times — nothing in your sign-in creates an employment relationship with the site operator;
- You will sign in on every entry and sign out on every exit, including for deliveries and short visits.
Failure to meet these conditions may result in removal from site and suspension of site access for you or your employer.
